1. Why Volunteer?

Everyone benefits when you choose to volunteer:

• The Public Library is an integral part of every community. Be a part of providing services and programs to improve the quality of life in your community.
• Library Volunteers reap benefits such as acquiring new skills, meeting new people, and building self-confidence.
• The staff benefit because Library Volunteers provide staff with supplemental team members who are there because they want to help.

2. Who Volunteers?

Community members are encouraged to get involved by volunteering at the Coronado Public Library. Volunteers with a variety of skills, interests, and abilities are needed to work with Library staff as a team devoted to enriching the lives of others.

3. What Do Volunteers Do?

A variety of volunteer opportunities are available with the Coronado Public Library. Listed are just a few ideas: shelf reading, materials processing, arranging newspapers, computer lab assistance, assisting with Homebound, audiovisual processing and maintenance, children's special programs, and special projects.

Library Volunteers are expected to:

• Complete the appropriate paperwork and interviews.
• Observe the organization's guidelines.
